There is no easy money at the tracks. A novice had bet ter attempt to wear through his novitiate by studying handicapping and betting on paper. Not until he can get about forty winners in each hundred attempts, and can get them at prices close to 2/1 or higher, should a new comer to the game go to a track and reach for his wallet. And when he has become as good as the figures just given indicate he can know that he is just as good as any horse-player in this world ever has been or ever will be.
